our favorite sources

Amazon Home

what we shop for: home organization and decor. basics - like sheets, towels, rug pads, and pillow inserts are usually the best prices through Amazon.

tips: we always search through amazon if we've found an item elsewhere - either to save some money or time on shipping or to get a lower price in general.

Wayfair

what we shop for: seriously everything. This is one of our best sources- we each have 10+ and growing items in our own home. Rachel has had great luck with curtains and Laura found some great items for her home renovation (vanity, tile, etc)

tips: Also owns Joss & Main and AllModern. Sometimes, you can find the same items on all 3 for slightly different prices or in stock status. Customer service is fabulous.

Etsy

what we shop for: vintage items, wall art, these intaglios, this gold and lucite hardwarepillows (run by Laura and her mother!) and custom linens

tips: it's so nice to support a small business and maker. Etsy is probably the most underrated home decor source in our opinion.

Target

what we shop for: our favorite frames of all time are from Target! This mirror is also a staple. Fun decor, candles, and pillows.

tips: some items are unique to target, and some can be found elsewhere. We find that for furniture and decor, the website has a much wider variety than the stores. Free shipping over $35!

World Market

what we shop for: some of the best on-trend lighting can be found here. Wall decor is also fab.

tips: world market has a twice annual friends and family sale, but frequently has 20-30 percent off an item - so add to card and get in on the emails to get your best deal!

Ballard Designs

what we shop for: the most classic bamboo chairs have gone viral - and for good reason. We love their bedding options and classics. For custom upholstery, their prices are good. For art, we usually search elsewhere or watch for a sale.

tips: we love their "Stylish Steals" category for classic pieces.

Houzz

what we shop for: Chairs, rugs

tips: same as amazon- we usually search here, too, before we purchase elsewhere. This one is sort of new-er to us, so we don't have much experience with this site.

Pottery Barn

what we shop for: coffee tables, curtains, seasonal decor, monogrammed items

tips: honestly, PBTeen and PB Kids have some great non-kid stuff. Especially lighting and window treatments.

One Kings Lane

what we shop for: lighting and art, and then drool over the vintage section that would def be categorized as splurge. Doesn't hurt to look, right?!

tips: don't let the website fool you - there are some deals buried in there! Especially lighting, mirrors, wall art -- find a brand that is within your price point and search that brand.
